Updates

• It was great to see everyone for Engineer’s Day that stopped by to play games. Special thanks to St. Mary’s School for the use of their carnival games.
• SLCM was drawn as the recipient of the Women with Hearts Fundraiser. We are honored to receive the support from such a great group and great event!

• The Dueling Pianos fundraiser has now been rescheduled for September 17, 2021 at Kewadin Casino.
• A number of the Board members attended ACM’s InterActivity 2021 Conference. The conference behind held virtually enabled a lot more participation and a lot was learned.

We now have a location! We are leasing the space at 223 W. Portage Ave. next Second Childhood.

• Mrs. Becky Mitchell, co-founder of Kids ‘N’ Stuff, met virtually with the Board to discuss her experience starting a children’s museum. The group was very appreciative for all the great insights she shared.
• Due to COVID-19, we’re postponing the Dueling Pianos event to keep our community safe. We will work with Kewadin Casino and Dave Caruso & Piano Wars to identify a new date as soon as things settle down.

We have passed the $100k mark in fundraising!
